I was having an artist block during the house quarantine because of Covid.  I have owned this vioin for years and wanted to make sure that before I touched it that I had some sort of vision for it's creative transformation.  I knew that I had to have a heavy zipper opening it to reveal something inside of it. I cut open the violin and then I could see how I needed to create it.

I wanted to create a piece that demonstrated the process for artistic creation and the freedom that it brings.  This is my personal favorite.  I have sat for months enjoying it on my own wall.

Assemblage Art. Vintage clock gears (no reproductions), wooden violin, 1970s plastic swallow wall decor. 24 inches long x16".
